This Cookie Policy explains how Praxis Interactive LLC uses cookies and similar technologies when you use our website, platform, reader tools, author tools, and related services. It is part of our broader Privacy Policy and should be read together with our Terms of Service.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
Praxis Interactive LLC may use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the platform, remember preferences, authenticate sessions, analyze usage, measure referrals and campaigns, improve performance, and support security.
Essential technologies operate without optional consent because the service cannot function properly without them. Analytics and marketing technologies remain disabled unless you enable their category.
Your choice applies across Praxis in the browser where you make it and remains stored until this policy version changes, you clear browser storage, or you update your preferences.
Types of Technologies We May Use
- Essential technologies: used for account login, authentication, security, checkout, fraud prevention, consent storage, display or reading preferences, and core platform functionality.
- Analytics technologies: Umami may be used to understand aggregate platform usage, diagnose issues, improve product performance, and measure engagement.
- Marketing and measurement technologies: Meta Pixel and FirstPromoter may be used to measure campaigns and referral sources. Authors may also configure Meta, Google, or TikTok pixels on their public book landing pages. The configured tracking IDs can therefore vary by book.
When Optional Technologies Load
Praxis does not load Umami before you enable Analytics. It does not load Meta Pixel, FirstPromoter, or author-configured Meta, Google, or TikTok pixels before you enable Marketing. Draft previews do not load author-configured pixels.
Google and Apple sign-in technologies may load when required to provide an authentication option you request. Backend error monitoring, including Sentry where configured, does not use browser tracking cookies through the integration currently used by Praxis.
Your Choices
You can usually control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking or deleting some cookies may affect platform functionality, including login sessions, checkout, reading preferences, or security features.
Use the Cookie Settings control in site footers or on this page to accept, reject, or change Analytics and Marketing choices. Withdrawing a category stops its trackers from loading on future page views and Praxis attempts to remove known first-party tracking cookies. Third-party cookies may also need to be removed using your browser or the relevant provider's controls.
Updates
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, our services, or legal requirements. The effective date above shows when this page was last updated.
